Successful Demonstration of High-Speed Communications Connectivity for Ship-to-Ship in the Sea of Marmara
A customer with a fleet of ships asked Global Forte, a high tech product and consulting company, if it had an economical solution to fulfill their need for high-speed communications connectivity for their ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore operations. Global Forte recommended the BATS BTS-2500 system integrated with Redline Communication’s 5.8 GHz AN-80i radio that utilized a two-foot grid antenna installed horizontally (26dBi, 6° H, 9° V) to get more azimuth. A live demonstration was set for late June 2009 in the Sea of Marmara, which is the major waterway linking the Black Sea and the Aegean and Mediterranean seas via the Bosporus and the Dardanelles. Integrated with Redline Communication’s AN-80i, the Broadband Antenna Tracking System’s BTS-2500 was successfully demonstrated to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements for bandwidth, low latency, distance and continuous tracking.

Redline’s RedMAX™ WiMAX Forum Certified® Products Provide Turkish National Police with City-Wide Video Surveillance in Kütahya
Redline’s RedMAXTM WiMAX Forum Certified® solution was chosen for its ability to provide secure and reliable high-speed connections in non-line-of-site conditions. Global Forte, Redline’s Certified Integration Partner and a leading provider of Turkish-based broad-band wireless communication services, managed the RedMAX network installation. Three RedMAX base stations were installed to achieve city-wide wireless coverage to connect the police department’s video survelliance system. A coverage of 17 km × 7 km has been created and achieved through the installation of base stations in Kütahya. Within this area, 35 survelliance cameras (PTZ and Fixed) and 3 license plate recognition systems on 3 separate highways with 12 fixed cameras have been deployed. The Turkish police can now depend on a reliable high speed network for improved video surveillance and enhanced public protection.
